Desde Bistró Guggenheim Bilbao se nos pide diseñar unos elementos para incorporar a asu servicio. Querían ofrecer a los comensales un aperitivo de cortesía al inicio de la comida y unos dulces para acompañar al café al finalizar la misma. Trabajamos con la idea de principio y final y con la de un todo, un ente que se divide en cabeza, cuerpo y cola. Para materializar esta idea elegimos el pez como elemento figurativo utilizando así su cabeza para servir el aperitivo al principio de la comida y su cola para terminarla.

Diseñamos tres peces, un mero, un bacalao y un salmonete, que fabricamos nosotros mismos mediante impresión 3D utilizando para ello PLA, un plástico biodegradable procedente de residuos vegetales. Las bases están fabricadas mediante CNC en bambú.

El conjunto de cabeza y cola se completa con una bandeja, raspa de pescado, fabricada en el mismo material y mediante el mismo método que las bases de cabeza y cola.

From Bistró Guggenheim Bilbao we are asked to design some elements to incorporate into their service. They wanted to offer diners a complimentary appetizer at the beginning of the meal and some sweets to accompany the coffee at the end of it. We work with the idea of beginning and ending and with the idea of a whole, an entity that is divided into head, body and tail. To materialize this idea we chose the fish as a figurative element, using its head to serve the appetizer at the beginning of the meal and its tail to finish it.

We designed three fishes, a grouper, a cod and a red mullet, which fabricated ourselves using 3D printing PLA, a biodegradable plastic from vegetable waste. The bases are manufactured by CNC in bamboo.

The whole head and tail is completed with a tray, fish scraper, fabricated in the same material and by the same method as the head and tail bases.
